DTF Washing Instructions

DTF-Washing-Instructions Angie's Crafty Cottage
Here are some tips for washing Direct to Film (DTF) printed shirts:
  • Wash cold
Use cold water and a gentle cycle. High temperatures can cause the print to fade, crack, or peel.
  • Turn inside out
This protects the print from damage by the washer or dryer.
  • Use mild detergent
Avoid detergents with additives for whitening, brightening, or stain fighting. "Green" detergents can also be too corrosive.
  • Avoid fabric softener
Fabric softener can make it harder to remove dirt and odors, and it can also cause the print to wear out faster.
  • Air dry
Air drying is best for the print's longevity, but you can also tumble dry on low or fluff with no heat.
  • Don't iron
Avoid ironing over the design. If you need to iron, use an iron with a steaming option.
